Ref. VP2-1193
A character residence, where heritage meets the French art of living
La Rochelle Île de Ré Sotheby’s International Realty exclusively presents this distinctive property in Aigrefeuille-d’Aunis, just 25 minutes from La Rochelle. Fully renovated, it combines the character of the original architecture with contemporary amenities.
The main residence offers more than 400 sq.m. of living space. From the entrance, period cement tiles, generous volumes and carefully preserved architectural features reveal a thoughtful renovation that respects the identity of the property.
The contemporary, fully equipped kitchen, enhanced by a fireplace, opens onto a spacious conservatory overlooking the garden. Outside, the landscape unfolds in a series of different spaces: a heated saltwater swimming pool, summer kitchen, vegetable garden, fruit trees and several areas designed for relaxation create a garden that is particularly enjoyable throughout the warmer months. As evening falls, subtle lighting highlights the garden’s perspectives and vegetation.
The sleeping quarters are arranged across two wings. The first comprises two generous bedrooms, a bathroom with walk-in shower and a bespoke dressing room. The second, designed with family life in mind, offers two additional bedrooms, a shower room and a dressing room. A second staircase leads directly to a games room on the ground floor.
The estate also includes three independent guest cottages of 40, 80 and 160 sq.m., each with its own distinctive character. The configuration lends itself equally well to hosting guests or creating dedicated spaces for family and friends.
Set apart from the main residence, a private wellness area extends the experience, with a sauna, hammam, Himalayan salt wall, massage chairs, sensory shower and relaxation area.
